This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you book or bring your vehicle in: your name, phone number, email, address, and details about your vehicle and the work we do on it.
When you apply for a job with us, through our website, by email, or through a form on Facebook or Instagram: your name, contact details, and the answers you give us about your qualifications, experience, where you live and when you could start.
When you contact us online: whatever you put in the form or message.
When you visit our website: basic information about your visit, such as pages viewed and how you found us, through standard website and advertising tools.
Why we collect it
To look after your vehicle, keep your service history, send you reminders and quotes, reply to your enquiries, consider your job application, and understand how people find us.
If you apply for a job, we use your information to assess your application and contact you about it. That's all.
Who sees it
Only our team, and the systems we use to run the workshop, such as our workshop management, messaging, email and accounting software. Forms on Facebook and Instagram are provided by Meta, and the information you enter is shared with us through them.
We don't sell your information, and we don't give it to anyone else to market to you.
How long we keep it
Customer and vehicle records are kept while you're a customer, and as long as the law requires for business records. Job applications are kept for up to 12 months, in case another role comes up, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
Seeing or changing your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we're not required to keep it. Email admin@busseltonautorepairs.com.au and we'll sort it out.
Marketing
If you're on our email list, every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also just tell us.
